We must absorb the thought that WE ARE NOW GOD’S CHILDREN!  1John is a book where promises and assurances are made over and over, and each time they are connected to a “total active commitment to God through Christ Jesus.”  Rom 2:4-8   ESV   Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?  This is meant to be a SIGNIFICANT  TRANSFORMATION!  I’m to be “A NEW CREATION!”  

1John 3:1-3   See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2  Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.   3  And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Our Prayer:
O Father, You have made it possible for us to be Your children in Jesus.  Thank You, dear God, and help us to be powerful children in faith and action.  May our hope be fixed on our Savior.  Help us to live Christ-Centered lives.  Help us to desire to live that way, and to joyfully seek Your presence in Christ!   We pray in Jesus,   Amen.
